nanowrimo is my life

first and foremost, check out the awesome icon i stole from melissa, 'raven_wings_' on my friends list!!!! nanowrimo owns my soul right now. i got twelve- count 'em, twelve- hours of sleep saturday night, but that was only because i was so exhausted from the past two weeks that i fell asleep at about 7:15pm. this is a good thing. and i had a freakish-weird dream in which kiki took me to the mall, on the way back we got turned into cats, hooked up with some ganster-dats and hung out with my neighbor's cat sawdust, and then it turned into an anxiety dream and i freaked out and woke up. it was pretty cool. on the downside, i am now roughly four thousand words behind on my word count. *sepukku* well, the school bell is about to ring and i'm in the library without a pass, and melissa is sitting next to me. we. are. twins. i swear, we have the same brain. ask her and she will tell you the same thing. ^_^;; so yeah, currently nanowrimo is the only thing on my mind... after schoolwork... and church... and sleep... and food... but it's in the top five anyway!!!! *cries* i was so close until this weekend!!!! i had my word count right up there at the requirement until the weekend happened (something is wrong with that >_<). i want to actually make it this year, and i have so much inspiration!!!! well, the bell is gonna ring any minute now. i'll update again when i get home. bye!!!

you can type your story up on word or wherever you want, or you can even write it out by hand(i don't, but some people write better that way). you don't have to submit it until the end of november to verify your word count, and even then it never gets actually read by anyone you don't want to read it. just update your nanowrimo word-o-meter (<my word, not theirs ^_^) as you write more; it's a completely trust-based system. if you do want to post your writing online, which is one way to have it accessible from almost any computer, i suggest opening a fictionpress.net account (tangent of fanfiction.net)or similar. yes, the forums at nanowrimo are both entertaining and informative... ^_^;; i love reading people's comments on them, and it's always nice to help people out with questions or problems. you can also post an excerpt from your story, with a character limit, so people on nanowrimo can read a little bit of your story and see what it's about and what it's like. kay, that's a lot to start with. any more questions, just ask! ^_^ ~jen-chan

okay, lj is poopy. they cut off my comment! >_< is there a character limit for comments? anyway, post your word count on your nanowrimo page, and you can also post an excert there, so people can see what your story is about etc. and yes, forums are fun. ^_^ if you do want to post yur story online, i suggest getting a fictionpress account or similar. kay, that was all. any questions, just ask! ^_^
