oh, god, the filth!!!!
Mar. 12th, 2007 03:44 pmi'm cleaning. yech. mom decided that since jim is coming over tomorrow (yay!!!) that we may as well get some spring cleaning done before-hand. (normally it would have been spread out over spring break.) so i've been cleaning all day, and most of the weekend as well.
(i'm horribly bad about long jobs. i have to go away from them after awhile to do something else, or i just sit there and stare at them for a long time being unproductive. mom doesn't understand how this works when i can be in studio for 27 hours solid, but in studio you're never doing the same thing for very long; the projects all have little parts to build and fit together, so i'm not doing the same exact thing for hours at a time. it's different.)
so i'm all dusty and sneezey and my hands are dry and scratchy from being washed so many times. but i like cleaning, generally speaking. it's very... liberating. i can zone out while i work, and i get that nice fuzzy feeling of accomplishment afterwards. ^/_____^
the hassel is that my mom has finally got around to painting, and she started with the downstairs bathroom, so the door is off the hinges and there's tape around everything and it's half-painted, and jim is going to be here tomorrow. *huffs* ah, well. it'll be fine. but there's all kinds of stuff to do yet; it's funny how that happens- you get in a frenzy and all that stuff you've been putting off finally gets done, and everything looks and feels so much better. heh. cleaning wisdom. i'm so weird. *eyeroll*
so, back to work.... ta!
ps- the rodeo was awesome. that was this time last week, in houston, at reliant stadium. there were carnival rides, and pig races, and art contests, and yummy food, and roping and riding competitions. *psuedo-clueless* oh, and there was this singer guy... oh, i can't possibly remember his name... could it be josh turner? *grins* country music concert after the rodeo= frickin awesome!!! my second concert ever, and very very cool. ^/___^
