thank god this weekend is over and done with!!!!

i had my last model of the semester due yesterday- and i finished it on time!!! it's so cool, too. we've spent probably two and a half months on this thing, and it's gone through the kirkland distortion field (aka professor evaluations) a number of times, and i am so proud of it!!! also, i only got about ten hours of sleep between friday and monday, so it better have been worth it. i spent whole days doing single parts like the walls or the landscaping; actually, those walls are amazing. i had fifteen and they took about forty-five minutes a piece to make, more if i messed up. but they look so good that i literally start tearing up if i contemplate them for too long. this project is like my bastard love child, guys. i have this ambivalent love-hate relationship going on with it right now, because it caused me so much pain, but it's amazing and it's mine. (kirkland just posted our grades an hour ago... but he forgot to put our class numbers on the list, so we have no idea who got what. *eyeroll*)

also, we only have four more days of class, omg!!!! (well, four and a half, because hellmann was an hour late today so we all left class, but then she sent out an email and wants us to come in on tuesday next week for an hour to make up the time. i'll go, but i don't know if anyone else will...) and i don't think this coming monday even counts, because all i have to do is turn in a paper and stand for my studio jury. it's like a proto-finals day already. yech!!

okay, so studio starts in like three minutes. gotta run!!!!

(i'm praying for rain this week. cross your fingers!)

ETA: it's been sprinkling since about 3pm... and it's 8pm now. come on, rain!!! i know we're getting something soon; the breeze on campus normally comes out of the east/south-east, but we've had a strong southern/south-western wind the past few days, and it's been really cloudy.

*snerk* speaking of nature, a squirrel was stalking us today at lunch; me, dennise, and kathryn ate lunch outside by the sidewalk, and this squirrel sat literally a foot away from us until i finally gave it the granola that fell off my parfait. and then it sat on the sidewalk eating and didn't move, even when people walked right up to it. people went around the squirrel. it was hysterical. the little guy didn't scare at all.

ETA: a b+ on that arch. project. *pouts*
