I concur. There are families out there who don't talk about the subject at all; also, parents renege on their duties and the kids shouldn't pay any sort of price for that. It's all in the attitude at home whether the kids can mesh the two sets of information well ... I remember that for us girls, the whole idea of periods was overwhelming and we had a three-year span before any of us actually had one, from age 9 to 12, so we had plenty of time to get used to the idea. That was a big enough thing to think about, and the whole childbearing thing was way way off in our thoughts, ha.
