myurbandreamgotta mention the good news along with the bad - a few weeks ago one of the high schools in our CFISD had a thwarted school shooting attempt. the bad news is - it can happen anywhere, and it almost happened in the district where my kids go to school. the good news is it was thwarted, thanks to a parent reporting on the teen who tried to enter the high school with a gun, and the school employee who confronted the teen.
but still. in our district. this does not inspire confidence.
