murder on campus!!!!
Sep. 18th, 2006 11:03 pmstudio was murder of the worst kind today. *ded* we turned in two projects, were given back four (of which i must redo two), and were assigned three parts of a week-long project for tomorrow. murder, i tell you!!!!! my fingers may never recover!!!!!
i feel disappointed in myself with part of this project. we're doing a shadow-box of sorts, but with color effects, so it's small and open on opposite ends. kirkland said we could make it out of whatever we liked, but his favorite from last year, the one he kept to show us, was made out of mdf board. so, since this is architecture and we're all over-achievers, everyone went out and bought mdf board and wood glue from home depot, changed into jeans and sneakers, bought safety glasses, and went down to the shop to cut mitered mdf pieces for their projects. except me and kathryn; we made ours out of chip board, and they look fine. (those saws creep me out. people have lost fingers in shop. i'm not lying; they have pictures on the walls of the office of wounds people have gotten in shop, including a severed thumb. the guy who manages the shop has lost fingertips, and once almost broke a rib. this place is serious.) i didn't do mine in shop. but the mdf ones are so smooth and shiny and the edges are so even and the corners match up. i'm feeling jealous. then kathryn betrays me and makes another box out of mdf and throws away her chip one. i'm the only one who didn't do the mdf box, and i feel like i'm lazy or a scaredy-cat or... or... *sniffles*
so, i dunno.... i don't think i'll be doing much of anything but architecture this week. *mopes*
well, in other news, wiseguy is love, and especially nee-san's fanmix, and especially ( this song. )
and now i go do work-type things again.... *sighs*
