filthy, filthy germs

bleargh. i am so sick..... i have some kind of nasty cold, and it's immensely annoying. i slept twelve hours last night but am still tired, and i'm not hungry although i've eaten practically nothing the past few days. i'm eating now, but only because my dad made chili, and it smells divine enough to make me salivate even as my stomach protests. cait gets back from some dot on the texas map pecas this afternoon, and it'd be nice to hang out with her, but i really feel like curling up in bed and going back to sleep. and on top of that i have a million and two things that i need to do around the house, but probably none of them will get done. probably what will happen is that i'll go back up to my room, but i'll feel guilty about sleeping the whole day instead of doing chores, so i'll lay in bed for a while, but i won't want to get up and be productive, so i'll end up rereading gomichan's book 'the god eaters', which i got for christmas, or maybe watching a movie. *sigh* i want to bake my mom a cake for her birthday (belated though it may be) but now i don't want to breathe my filthy, filthy germs all over it....

in other news, christmas has been, overall, an okay thing. my holidays have just gone downhill the past few years, for various and sundry reasons into which i really don't want to delve, and this christmas wasn't looking so hot. but now i think i'll be okay. this break hasn't been, y'know, spectacular or anything, and maybe not even very relaxing, but things haven't been as horrible as they could have been. i've hung out with caitlin (though not recently; she's been gone a week) and i've seen some of my other friends, both in austin and houston. i got what i expected for christmas, just about; nothing thrilling, but nothing useless. (except maybe the candy, but that's useless in a yummy way, so...) overall, a decent break. i could do worse.

okay, now i really think i'll go to sleep. *yawn* it's time for an afternoon nap.
