high school... ahhh....
Apr. 27th, 2007 08:43 ammy poor brother. he has a project due in history today- soph. ap world history, no less- and he's been working on the visual presentation for two months. it's actually really good, barring some spelling mistakes- he has well-chosen clips from stargate and eddie izzard- it's about cold war ideology- and his text selections are good, just in need of a grammar check. but he also has to submit a three-page paper, worth 30% of his grade, which he only started two days ago b/c of the video. i told him to ask if he could turn it in late- late as in after lunch, even- and he said that the teacher has a strict late policy. anything late, and it's points off the final grade. how many points, you ask? why, 30%.
i forget sometimes how much high school can suck.
*pats head* woobie donny. he's been calling me all this morning and last night- he stayed up through the night to finish, and i woke up early so he could call me for advice- but now he has to go to school.... and the poor guy's got a test the period before his project due, so he can't skip class like i at first suggested. yech. and it's not even hell week for them, they have a whole month of school left
well, i'm waiting for the c-store to open so i can get a granola bar and go work out. then it's off to the computer lab and work, work, work for studio. *sighs*
tata.
ETA: whew! four and a half flights of stairs after an hour-long workout? not so fun. *pants* but i worked out for an hour and my muscles have the pleasant consistency of over-cooked noddles. mmm... i think i'll just sit here in my cold, cold dorm room for a bit....
on the walk back, my left hip was doing this funny popping thing every time i took a step. it went away after a few minutes. this does not bode well for my health in my old age. drats.
