I am in love with those arches!! Truly inspired if you make use of that design, or something like it.

Also, is the microhome on a swivel, as small homes for the tubercular used to be? This was to enable the interior to face the sun nearly all the time. It sort of looks like a swivel at the bottom of the structure.

^__^ The arch is one of my favorite structural elements.

You know, I don't know about the base of the microhome. I think maybe it is the frame on which it is set - since there is no foundation, you know? But it could be a swivel - the microhome could certainly be turned to face any direction when being installed. Hmmm... Good question!

There's a spot maybe 2 entries down called 'High Kelling' and a postcard titled 'Bramblewood' which shows what I am talking about --- I was afraid I wouldn't find anything on Google and you'd think me a loon! But the house/cabin/whatever that's second from the right shows a distinct lack of foundation and the thing could be turned on a pivot, like a merrygoround.

BE LESS BUSY ON THE 29TH. YOU MUST COME VISIT ME. WE'RE HAVING A HALLOWEEN "GET TOGETHER".

...
That being said, this summer I might be off to Italy for a month and see some of those arch bridges...
