The Thirty-Day LotR Meme

---obviously, i am not doing this in thirty days, but thirty minutes. whatever.
Day 1 - Favorite hobbit - Sam. Although I do love Merry and Pippin.
Day 2 - Favorite location - Minas Tirith - the architecture!
Day 3 - Least favorite location - the marshes of the dead, or whatever they're called, in Mordor
Day 4 - Do you prefer the books or the films? - the films, definitely
Day 5 - Favorite weapon - Legolas' knives!
Day 6 - Favorite song (soundtrack or performed onscreen) - the amazing soprano song as they come out of the Mines of Moria after Gandalf's death
Day 7 - Film you’ve seen the most times - probably the first one, the Fellowship
Day 8 - Best use of magic or supernatural gifts - "You shall not pass!" Or maybe the moths
Day 9 - The Fellowship of the Ring or The Nazgûl? - The Nazgul are pretty badass, honestly - but loyalty to the good guys says I have to go with the Fellowship, who are also badass and, as a side benefit, not evil.
Day 10 - Favorite scene in Elvish - The deleted scene from Two Towers when Aragorn talks to Theodred's horse.
Day 11 - Have you named anything after a character from Lord of the Rings? - nope.
Day 12 - A scene that always makes you laugh? - Boromir teaching Merry and Pippin to fight; Pippin lighting the first beacon in Minas Tirith; Gimli's response to Aragorn and Legolas entering the mountain cave ahead of him; Gimli's response to Aragorn's plan to storm the gates of Mordor
Day 13 - The spiffiest dresser - Haldir of Lorien; quite spiffy
Day 14 - What do you think about Sméagol/Gollum? - Honestly, I pity him and empathise with him. He was just like me, really, a simple mind that likes shiny things, until the Ring overpowered his mind.
Day 15 - If you were from Middle Earth, where would you live? - Rohan!!!
Day 16 - Best death scene - Boromir, hands-down.
Day 17 - A scene you're glad they included in the movie that wasn't in the book? - Arwen meeting Aragorn and the hobbits on the way to Rivendell, and calling the river - although I miss that the guys then lost their part in that chase.
Day 18 - Character you wish had been featured in the movies - The nameless healer-woman of Minas Tirith, in Return of the King
Day 19 - Re-edit the movies: what scene would not make the cut? - Aragorn's weird dream-hallucination thing when he's half-dead after the Warg attack on the way to Helm's Deep
Day 20 - A scene that always makes you cry - not one for crying much, me; Pippin's song as Faramir rides to his death always makes me pout terribly, though
Day 21 - Which one of the races of Middle Earth do you think you resemble most? - Uh - the Race of Men, duh?
Day 22 - Is there anything that you would have changed in the films? - shipping aside, no.
Day 23 - Have you got any LOTR related tattoos on you? What do you think about LOTR tattoos in general? - I don't have any tattoos. I feel that if you get a tattoo it should have personal meaning not tied to anyone but yourself, so I think a LotR tattoo would have to be something like that, something personal, something symbolic.
Day 24 - Your most favourite battle - the olliphants!
Day 25 - Your least favourite battle - Helm's Deep - gunpowder, really?
Day 26 - Your favourite ship (from canon or/and fan-fiction) - my favorite canon 'ship is Faramir/Eowyn, and my favorite non-canon 'ship is Aragorn/Legolas - which is tragic because no one else writes that.
Day 27 - Do you own any LOTR merchandise? - nothing besides the movies themselves - and not even the extended editions! ETA: well, and the books, obviously.
Day 28 - First time reading/seeing The Fellowship of the Ring, what did you think about their decision to go through Moria (good or bad decision)? - can't remember my original reaction when first reading the books, it was so long ago... now i think it was wrong of gandalf to put the decision on frodo, especially when frodo didn't have all the facts about the mines - but they were literally stuck between a rock and a hard place, so no decision would have turned out well.
Day 29 - Which side you are on, Sauron’s or Gandalf’s? - is that even a question?? Gandalf, obviously.
Day 30 - Name a favorite scene? - by NAME, who knows? My favorite scene is when Aragorn returns to Edoras, the hilltop city-capitol of Rohan, and Legolas greets him at the door and gives back Arwen's Evenstar necklace.
