of sand and story books
so i had a great weekend, but i've just read the part in the iliad where patroclus gets killed by apollo/euphorbus/hector, and it's kind of angsty.... but i finished book 16, which means i'm either caught up for tomorrow, or they assigned us 4 more books and i'm still behind. probably, i'm still behind. *frowns* but i don't have the stomach to read anymore of the iliad at the moment.
so!!!! labor day weekend- i went to galveston island. sand! holy crap, there's sand! it's really nice sand, too, very fine and smooth, as far as sand goes, and believe me, i've seen a few beaches in my days. ^/___^ but it got everywhere!!! of course, it doesn't help that don scooped up a big double handful and poured it over my head, now does it? *eyeroll* ah, brotherly love. but, yeah, we spent the night right off the beach, and i got to watch sunset and sunrise over the ocean. i remember now why i love the ocean- it's so beautiful and peaceful, and it goes on forever, merciless and unchanging and mesmerizing but... not calm, but dependable in its flighty moods. swiftly morphing, always going back to smooth dark greens and blues. just beautiful. *lusty eyes* mmm..... ocean.....
(i could talk about sga here, but really, why do i need to? besides, it's the ocean. i don't need to add anything to make it amazing.)
no school tomorrow, which means i can spend all day in studio doing my layered tones chip-board project. *grimace* literally. all day. ah, love. only architecture......

*smile* I miss my jenny! Don't do too much work, remember to take some breaks, get some exercise, and have some fun!
EDIT - not that I'm relaxing today; I'm going to try to do next week's homework so that I can have my evenings free for dance lessons. Yum!/How carzy am I?
