WhatsApp - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.whatsapp - showed up #1 on another list, but it says it uses data, not on-board texting. A couple others I looked at are the same way. I'm wondering if the only way to use to the phone carrier text function is via the phone carrier text software, or if there are other apps out there that can plug into the phone carrier texting system.
