i just searched for the fic on ff.net; it's not on your fav's list and the search engine couldn't find it. then i did a google search and found a reference to what is probably the fic i'm thinking of, except they mentioned that it was down for revision/addition and the link was outdated when i checked. it's by 'gatekeeper', if this is the right one.
