poetry again. yeah, i'm feeling all angsty again. this is my emo poetry side... *quirks eyebrow* howzit?

that black
which is the absence of light
waves striking the cornea
all colors absorbed and kept
by greedy matter which is
that black
hold up a hand against the sun
and block out the day
and block out life
keep in the darkness at night
that black
a compilation of shadows
all converging to a thick mass
looming overhead, a nothingness
that croons soft, sleepy lullabies
that black
which keeps all secrets and all silences
which holds and hides and saves
which is home of moon and stars
which is serene and quiet, unchanging
that black



i seem to have this thing for a short/long verse form. i dunno.... it feels right when i write it, but then again, all my writing occurs after 1am, so that's not saying much for my mental capacity when i'm writing. -_-
