the christmas meme:
1.Wrapping paper or gift bags? whatever works best, but usually wrapping paper
2. Real tree or Artificial? real live tree whenever possible!!!
3. When do you put up the tree? after thanksgiving
4.When do you take the tree down? after new year's day
5. Do you like eggnog? sometimes, yes- it depends on the kind and what spices are/aren't in it
6. Favorite gift you received as a child? hmm, i dunno...
7. Hardest person to buy for? jim, because he matters the most
8. Easiest person to buy for? no one - i suck at buying gifts
9. Do you have a nativity scene? nope.
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? snail-mail, because it's worth it.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? a purse/bag thingee from my grandmother. i hid it in my closet and then gave it to goodwill.
12. Favorite Christmas movie? "love actually"
13. When do you start shopping? umm.... i should really get on that... oops.
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas gift? except in a white elephant, nope! ^___^
15. Favorite Christmas thing to eat? peppermint/candy canes
16. Lights on the tree? yes, totally!
17. Favorite Christmas song? carol of the bells
18. Travel or stay home? stay at home!!
19. Can you name all of Santa’s Reindeer? yep! ^___^
20. Angel or star on tree top? ooohhh.... angel, i think
21. Open gifts on Christmas Eve or morning? christmas morning, of course! although sometimes i can go with opening one on christmas eve, and there are exceptions - like people having to leave before christmas, or gifts not arriving until after christmas
22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? people being greedy and not appreciating the reasons why we celebrate the holiday and gift-giving
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? silver and green
24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? dunno, we've always done turkey et al....
25. What do you want for Christmas this year? money for a laptop!! *weeps*
and happy st. nick's day, everyone... ^___^ yay for german traditions, although i didn't get candy in my shoes. *shrugs* oh, well. something to do for my kids some day.
