my room rocks... so hard
Aug. 20th, 2006 12:02 amchari's parents came over to houston today. i was gone at the arch welcome day (oh so much fun: 200 people who are as nerdy as i am about buildings. ridiculously fun. and my team built the first-place creative structure using spaghetti and sugarred dots candy, ranking in at 4'4" and able to hold a watch at its top and withstand four upperclassmen shaking the table for fifteen seconds. geeks at work. *grins*) so i didn't really see them, but i was in the room long enough to help bunk our beds. (finally!!!) and chari's dad totally drilled a hole in the cmu walls of the dorm. we are in sooooo much trouble come the end of the year. (randomly: i have an ant bite on my toe and it itches. *scratchscratch* so distracting.) so after we bunked the beds we rearranged the furniture, and oh boy, our room looks so cool!!!! it's one of the rooms that was originally designed for three people, cause these were originally five-person suites instead of four-person, so it's big to begin with, and with our beds bunked we have so much space. it rocks. bought my arch kit: 550 dollars worth of very awesome modeling materials, and a ruler that is almost as tall as me. guys, architecture rocks. ^/____^ after dinner me and chari went to lauren's room and watched 'the birdcage'. (another 'finally!!!' in my life.) omg is that movie hysterical. robin williams rocks my world. *grins*
my only concern in life is that monday is, by notorious rumour, the end of my passing acquaintance with sleep. *cries* but hey, when i do sleep, at least a third of it will occur in a very cool dorm room. (they tell me that people end up sleeping at their studio desks far more than their beds. sadly, i've done that, and am not really worried. *sigh*) but y'know what? there's an architecture fraternity here. and, actually, it looks pretty cool. *seduced*
ttyl!!!!
