it's been a good day... ^/____^
today in structures was our brick-laying lab (2b), which is apparently the most useful and least monotonous of all the labs we'll ever do in morris's class. it was rather fun, i think, except that morris made us wear jeans and long sleeves and closed-toed shoes- in houston october weather, seriously! but the mason who was assigned to help us build our wall was really nice and helpful and did just the right amout of letting us learn vs. doing it for us to show us how. and i think our wall looked good.
but we didn't get out of structures until 12:40, so 8 of us went to get lunch after that and were consequently late to studio by a quarter of an hour. so i printed my drawings out- griffin said "oh, nice!" (yay!!! *hopeful*) when he saw them- and then took a nap under my desk, because i was dog tired for some reason. since i was being unproductive, i went back to my room, napped for a bit, and read some fanfiction. ended up not getting back to studio until 8 or 8.15pm, but i left at 4am, so i was rather productive, i think. *grins* more productive than christo, who is sleepy and watching my firefly dvds, so he had to redo one wall five times. most of my interior is done, and i remade the scored museum board tile floor, because the scoring was off by a little less than 1/16th of an inch and it looked really bad. >__<* but it's fixed now! doesn't look as sharp, but it does look correct, which is what counts. i am SO proud of my model!!!!
hopefully i'll finish it by monday. *meep*
i enjoyed the walk back from the architecture building. the sky was almost cloudless, and the light of the full moon made the dewdrops on the lawn look like scattered diamonds. pretty, pretty shiny things....
