it's the end of the world as we know it...

and i feel rather warm. the air conditioning in the dorms is off for the first time since last fall. this means that it is no longer 68 degrees fahrenheit in my dorm room, but i still want it to be. this morning may have been cool and dry, but now the weather is all heat and humidity again, and i want my air conditioning, gorram it!!!


in other news, i leave for an afternoon at oni-con in about half an hour. yay!!!! but then when i get back it's work, work, work all the time. (my suitemates and i watched 'the princess bride' yesterday evening, and we were quoting the entire thing. *grins*) so, yeah.... i have a history test and two projects due on monday, and an 8-page essay midterm due on wednesday. lots of work. T____T

How was the con?

meh. i only went for a few hours on friday afternoon, which usually is kind of slow. it's not near as big as a-kon, though understandably since this is only their 4th or 5th year. i recognized several people in the dealer room and artist alley, and they had some cool autograph ppl there- they were on a full metal alchemist theme, i think. the activities area was nice though- lots of video game and magic tournaments, ddr, boken dueling tournaments (or whatever that's officially called), etc. everyone i knew who was there seemed to have a lot of fun, and i did enjoy myself. and the cosplay quality was pretty good, actually. the high end of what was available at a-kon, but without the accompanying lower-quality cosplayers. i was impressed.

so, though small, it was overall not bad. ^/_____^
